Anmaat has been an exceptional horse for Shadwell and for everyone here at Farncombe Down. From the moment he arrived, he showed his class, courage, and consistency, qualities that have defined his entire career and made him such a joy to train.

A multiple Group winner, Anmaat first made his mark with a brilliant victory in the John Smith’s Cup at York before stepping up to capture the Group 2 Prix Dollar at Longchamp. He went on to claim two Group 1 successes: the Prix d’Ispahan at ParisLongchamp and most memorably, the 2024 British Champion Stakes at Ascot which was a day none of us will ever forget.

Beyond the wins and the silverware, Anmaat has been a true yard favourite who is tough, genuine, and endlessly kind, with a huge heart and a love for his work. He’s been partnered by his regular work rider, Frankie, who has been by his side every step of the way, and cherished by everyone who has had the privilege of caring for him.

He retires happy, healthy and with an incredible record to his name. Anmaat owes us nothing, he’s given us everything, and we’re all immensely proud of what he’s achieved. We wish him a long, happy, and thoroughly deserved retirement.
